Presidential Elections 2023 - Repeat election: Statement by the Chief Returning Officer, Dr Costas Constantinou, on the results of the second round of the Presidential Elections
The sorting and counting of votes has been completed as planned, in a transparent, democratic and fair manner.
I now have the final, official election results, which are as follows:
The turnout of voters is 406.616, which is equal to 72,45%.
For comparison purposes, I would like to say that the voter turnout was 72,04% of the registered voters.
Today, abstention votes reached 27,55%, invalid votes 2,07%, and blank votes 0,98%.
The number of valid votes was 394.202, which is equal to 96,95%.
Votes received according to the order of candidates on the ballot:

Andreas Mavroyiannis 189.335 48,03%
Nikos Christodoulides 204.867 51,97%
Based on these results, the President-elect is Mr Nikos Christodoulides. The proclamation ceremony of the President-elect will take place at the “TASSOS PAPADOPOULOS – ELEFTHERIA” stadium at 10.00 p.m..
