Presidential Elections 2023 – Repeat election: Statement by the Chief Returning Officer, Dr Costas Constantinou, on the conclusion of the election process and the announcement of EXIT POLLS

I would like to announce that the voting at all polling stations has ended, both in Cyprus and abroad.

As a result, exit polls, which have been carried out outside polling stations for the purpose of predicting the final result, are allowed to be published.

The sorting and counting of votes has already begun at the polling stations, under the supervision of presiding officers. The only exception concerns the special ballot box in the Central Prisons, which has been transferred, in order to be merged with another ballot box.

The final voter turnout percentage for the second round of the 2023 Presidential Elections will be announced shortly.
