Turkish Cypriots, holders of an identity card of the Republic of Cyprus, with an address in the free areas, have the right to register on the permanent electoral roll, which gives the right to participate in all national elections (more information can be found here).
Turkish Cypriots residing in areas which are not under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, who are 18 years old by the date of each election and who hold an identity card of the Republic of Cyprus issued by the Civil Registry system, are automatically entered on a Special Electoral Roll and may vote in the elections of Members of the European Parliament. Citizens can be informed whether the conditions laid down by law for automatic registration on the special electoral roll are met in their case by accessing this email address https://etv.elections.moi.gov.cy.
