Electoral rolls shall be drawn up every three (3) months: on 2nd January, 2nd April, 2nd July and 2nd October of each year.
Issuance of Voter ID Cards
The voter ID cards of new voters, whose names are included in the supplementary electoral roll drawn up every three months, shall be issued by the Central Election Service of the Ministry of the Interior, following the posting and inspection of the supplementary electoral roll, for any objections raised by any person concerned. In the event of loss or damage, voter ID cards shall also be issued directly by the local offices of the District Administrations.
In the upcoming elections for Members of the European Parliament and local authorities, all citizens of the Republic aged above 18 who are habitually resident in Cyprus as well as citizens of other Member States of the European Union residing in Cyprus and registered on the relevant electoral rolls shall have the right to vote. Those who are not entered on the electoral rolls, have the right to register, provided that on the date of the Elections they would have reached the age of 18.
Please note that the last day of submission of the application for registration on the electoral rolls is the 2nd April 2024. After the above date, no new registration and/or change can be made. Therefore, those entitled to vote are urged to take steps in due time in order to be able to exercise their right to vote.
