Every citizen of the Republic shall be entitled to stand for election as President of the Republic if:
(a) at the time of election, he will have reached the age of 35.
(b) he has not been convicted of an offence of dishonesty or of moral turpitude or has not been deprived of the right to be elected due to any electoral offence, following a ruling issued by a court of the Republic having jurisdiction.
(c) he is not suffering from any mental illness preventing him from performing the duties of President of the Republic.
(d) he has not continuously served as President of the Republic for the two previous terms.
