The process of collecting voter turnout figures has been concluded.

According to the available data, the final turnout percentage was 50.5% of all registered voters. Namely, 353,149 citizens out of a total of 698,896 registered voters came to the polling stations to exercise their right to vote.

For comparison purposes, the final voter turnout percentage in the 2019 European Parliament Elections was 45%, while the corresponding percentage in the 2016 Local Government Elections was 60.6%.

Excluding the dedicated polling stations for Turkish Cypriots, the turnout is 58.3% compared to 50.7% in the 2019 European Parliament Elections.

As regards to the Turkish Cypriots’ turnout, it is noted that 5,676 registered voters have exercised their right to vote out of a total of 103,281.

In the 17 polling stations abroad, 2,855 voted out of a total of 4,643 submitted declarations.
