Elections 2024 - Polling stations abroad


The Ministry of Interior announces that, for the forthcoming elections of Members of the European Parliament to be held on 9th June 2024, polling stations abroad, namely in Greece, the United Kingdom and Belgium, will be open for voters who are already registered on the electoral roll or will register by 2nd April 2024.

In order to allow the operation of polling stations abroad, a special electoral roll shall be established, to which the data of registered voters shall be transferred from the permanent electoral roll of Cyprus, following a declaration submitted by the interested parties. Polling stations abroad, in accordance with the electoral legislation in force, may operate only in those cities in which the number of voters submitting a declaration exceeds 50 (fifty).

To this end, the elector’s card holders who wish to exercise their right to vote abroad may submit a declaration no later than 2nd April 2024. The declaration may be submitted either electronically on the elections website elections.gov.cy or in paper form, by filling in the relevant form and submitting it to the Embassies/Consulates of the Republic abroad, the local offices of the District Administrations, the Citizen Service Centres (KEP), the Citizen Centres (KEPO) of the Cyprus Post Offices and the Election Service of the Ministry of Interior. The form is available through the website elections.gov.cy or at the above mentioned places.
